This trail leads steadily uphill with a couple of long switchbacks, then wraps around to views of Twin Peaks. Most casual hikers only go as far as the first wooden bench, where clear views of Eklutna Lake and surrounding peaks command attention. From there, the trail curves around the side of the mountain and up to open tundra, where additional paths lead to the actual peaks.
